Lighting Installation

A Live Green Irrigation lighting system will enhance your landscape, extend your outdoor living space, and provide additional safety and security.

Before providing you with an estimate, a Live Green Irrigation representative will conduct a comprehensive evaluation of your property and meet with you to discuss your lighting needs.
 
Once your lighting needs are determined, Live Green Irrigation will show you a variety of landscape lighting fixtures and discuss the best available options..  We have a wide range of professional grade fixtures, transformers, and components including budget friendly options.

We will then provide you with a detailed quote.

Installation Procedures

A typical landscape lighting installation includes the following:

  • Place flags at locations of light fixtures
  • Do a final walk through with you on light locations
  • Install landscape lights at flag locations
  • Run wire from light to light, and back to the Transformer
  • Bury wire in the ground
  • Hang transformer in predetermined location
  • Wire transformer and install timer or wireless remote
  • Test lighting system
  • Return after dark to adjust the lights as required 

Lighting Fixture Types

The five main landscape lighting fixtures are listed below:

Up Light:  Shines light up into tree canopies and structures. Great for highlighting unique features of your landscape
 
Down Light:  Shines light down from above. Great for lighting up large areas of the ground.
 
Path/Area Light:  Shines light down in a circular pattern onto a walkway or patio.  Great for highlighting specific parts of your garden and/or path.
 
Well Light:  Fixture is embedded in the ground and shines light up to enhance a tree or feature of a building.

Flood Light: Shines light on large areas of your landscape or building.. Great for adding depth to your landscape and security to your property.
